La castanyada, the cold has already arrived to Barcelona. It's time to eat chestnuts, sweet potatoes and panellets; stay with friends, light the fire (if you are lucky enough to have one) and drink some moscatel. Sweets suffuses patisseries windows and for those who don't like sugary things too much, we can always replace them with a little cheese with quince.
Next day the cemeteries will fill up with colorful flowers brought to the loved ones.
