Cuando algo deja de utilizarse desaparece, muere, y este proyecto es un intento de mantener vivas ciertas técnicas que actualmente no son tan populares como lo fueron en el pasado. Parte de mi conocimiento se lo debo a mujeres, que en la intimidad de sus estudios, me enseñaron lo que a su vez aprendieron de otras mujeres. La misión de Darabil es mantener vivas estas técnicas; utilizándolas para crear objetos contemporáneos por una parte, y difundiendo el conocimiento en forma de talleres por otra parte.
When something stops using, it disappears, it dies and this project is an attempt to keep alive certain techniques that currently are not as popular as they were in the past. Part of my baggage comes from women that, in the privacy of their studies, taught me what they've learned from other wome in an effort to keep the knowledge alive. The mission of Darabil is to mantain alive these techniques; using them to create contemporary objects on one hand and expanding the knowledge in the form of workshops on the other hand.
